Beverly Shiner Averett Tucker

CLEVELAND - Beverly Shiner Averett Tucker passed away peacefully March 12, 2014, in the Provo Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness. She was born on Sept 30, 1937, in Hiawatha, Utah to Grant S. Averett and Francis Lorraine Davis Averett. She married Darrell Ben Tucker on Dec 10, 1952. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple July 23, 1963. Beverly was a kind and loving person. She would go out of her way to help if she could. She always made good friends and kept all of them. She raised 9 daughters, to maturity, and watched them raise their families. Her family was the center of her universe and she often bragged about them. She loved going to the Temple, and was a temple missionary with her sister Claudette at the Manti temple. She shared her love of temple work and the gospel with her family and friends. She loved her horses, and was an avid appaloosa fan. She would go to the horse races and report on them for the Appaloosa Association and the American Quarter Horse Association. She was also a photographer who took many photos at the races. She was a published author in several horse magazines and papers. Her love for animals was lifelong. She worked for many years with the veterinarian and cared for her families animals. Ben and Beverly raised race horses for awhile. She had many pets who she loved. She is survived by her sister, Claudette Hayward, brother David Averett. 9 daughters, Debra Jean (Chet) Oviatt, Benna Lee Tucker, Beverly Joelene (Norman) Hunt. Cheryl Lynn Tucker, Wendy Sue (Dennis) Campbell, Tammy Kathleen Tucker, Carrol Deann (Ralph Schade)Tucker, Teresa Irene Tucker and Kimberly Denice (David) Turner. She has 22 Grandchildren, 35 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild. She was preceded in death by her spouse, parents, 2 grandsons and a son in law. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Cleveland LDS 2nd Ward Chapel. A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Cleveland LDS Chapel and also on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Cleveland Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett mortuary.

Margie Ann (Gentry) Fero

Margie Ann Gentry Fero

November 30, 1932 to March 21, 2014

Margie Ann Gentry Fero, 81, of Layton, was reunited with family and friends. She was born in Sweets Mine, Carbon County, Utah, on November 30, 1932 to Alva Gentry and Lydia Babcock Gentry. She was the only child from this union.

At the age of seven, she attended school in Hiawatha for grades 1st thru 8th. For her 9th thru 12th grades, she was bussed to Price, Utah.

At the age of 18, she moved to Layton with her parents.

She found employment at Hill Air Force Base and remained there for 36 years. She retired in 1987. She held various positions during her time at the base. During her time in the Sheet Metal Department she earned the title of “Rosie the Riveter”. She also worked 27 years in the Civilian Personnel Office as a Clerical Worker and later as a Supervisor.

She met and married the love of her life while working in the sheet metal department. Margie and Rex Fero were married in Evanston, Wyoming on March 29, 1955. They had one child, Jack, who died at child birth.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Chris of Latter Day Saints and valued her membership and served faithfully. She was also a member of the Federal Women’s Club and also enjoyed singing with the Sweet Adelines.

Margie had a zest for life, a positive attitude and a great sense of humor. She always lived life to the fullest.

Margie was a great step mother to Bill Ross, New York City, New York, Peaches Pook, Clearwater, Florida, Cheri Shioji (Carl), Clinton, Utah and Deanna Ross (Charles), Reno, Nevada.

The family would like to thank all the many doctors, nurses and aids that have taken care of Margie over the years. We would also like to extend many thanks to the many people at Life Care Center of Bountiful and also the Promise Specialty Hospital of Salt Lake City for their caring attention given to Margie over the many visits. We also extend a special thank you to the many CNS Nursing Service personnel and a very special thank you to Queenie Aydelott for the loving care that she gave to Margie over the years.

Funeral service with be held Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main. Friends may visit family Thursday from 12:00 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment at Kaysville City Cemetery.

Raymond Lupo Obit Notice

WELLINGTON-Our loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Raymond Gene Lupo, age 69, passed away peacefully March 12, 2014 in Price.
He was born June 19, 1944 in Price, Utah to Tony and Filomena “Minnie” Colosimo Lupo.
Married Barbara Harvey, May 22, 1999 in Carlin, Nevada.
Raymond was a member of the United Mine Workers of America, Castle Gate Local # 8622. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping. Raymond loved his family, especially spending time with his wife Barbara, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved to make people laugh and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survived by his loving wife, Barbara Lupo, Price; children, Delorus (Charlie) Whitten, Huntington, Sylvia (Robert) Slama, Price, Audra Lupo, Moab; numerous step-children; mother-in-law, RoseLee Harvey, Price; 30 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, and daughter, Peggy Lee Whitten.
Graveside service, Monday, March 17, 2014, 2:00 p.m., Cliffview Cemetery. Family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home one hour prior to service.
