Cora Noorda Thomas
1919 ~ 2012
Cora Noorda Thomas, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 92 on February 1, 2012.
Born July 27th 1919 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Grace Noorda and Carl Weenig.
She graduated from Granite High School. She married Levi W. Thomas on July 14, 1937 in Farmington, Utah. They had three boys Bill, Ronald and Keith.
Preceded in death by her husband Levi, son Ronald, grandson, parents, sisters, Delina, Martha and Jane, brothers Henry, Chris, nephews, Carl, Mike and Keith.
She is survived by her children Bill and spouse Judy, Keith and Ron and Ronalds' wife Pat, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and also by her twin sister Margaret Dingle. Cora and Levi and their boys lived in Hiawatha, Utah. They were later sealed in the Manti Temple, February 1966. She always said that was one of her happiest days of her life. She was a wonderful cook and loved living in Hiawatha. She had many friends and served in many positions in the LDS church. She and Levi spent many wonderful times in Joe's Valley fishing and hunting. Cora was a very hard worker and loved serving others. When Levi died she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and lived with her twin sister Margaret. They attended the Wilford LDS Ward and had many friends.
Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah, Monday, evening, February 6, 2012 from 6 to 7 pm.
Graveside services will be held at Price City Cemetery, 595 East 400 North, Price, Utah at 12:00 Noon Tuesday, February 7, 2012.
