Our wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Merlin Blackburn, 84, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2015 in Kearns, Utah.
He was born on October 9, 1930 in Clawson, Utah to Wayne and Melba Prows Blackburn. He graduated from Emery High School, and served his country during the Korean War. Merlin married Geraldine Baldwin on December 22, 1955 in Castro Valley, California.
He was an active member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many callings. He barbered in Kearns for 40 years and made many wonderful friends. He loved to spend time with his family, they were his life.
Merlin is survived by his loving wife; children, Penni (Keith) Cook, Jackie (Layne) Larsen, Kelly (Todd) Jensen; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; brothers, Clarence, Harold and Blain Blackburn. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services for Merlin will be held on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South where friends may visit with the family on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and again on Friday one hour prior to the service.
