James Walter Baxter

James (Jim) Walter Baxter, 89, was born Sept. 2, 1922 in Hiawatha to Walter A. Baxter and Famie Gunderson Baxter. Passed away Sept. 21, 2011 in Carson City, Nev.
Jim attended school at Hiawatha and Carbon, graduating from Wasatch Academy, Mt. Pleasant. Jim served two years in the United States Navy. He worked as a Teletype Operator for the Santa Fe Railroad in California. After retiring he moved to Carson City, Nev.
He is survived by his wife, Donna, Carson City, Nev. Sister, Francy Handley, Huntington; Niece and nephews Sharr'ee Grimmett, Drew, Greg, Kelly and Fred LeRoy. Step children David (Veronica) Ames, Huntington.
Preceded in death by parents and nephew Jim LeRoy.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011 at the Northern Nevada Veteran's Cemetery in Fernley, Nev.

Morris G. Olsen
PRICE - Morris (Mo) Olsen age 79, passed away on Oct. 2, 2011 in Price. Morris was born to Gladwin and Vivian Elise Jolley Olsen on Feb. 13, 1932 in Springdale. He married Yvonne Elfreda Williams on Jan. 9, 1956 in Everett, Wash. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River LDS Temple.
Morris was raised in Hiawatha and attended schools in Carbon County. He graduated from Carbon High in 1950. He then joined the U.S. Air force in 1951 and served until 1965 in the Korean Conflict. He worked as a mechanic in the Air Force. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities. Morris' hobbies included playing pool, chess, fishing and listening to music.
Survived by his wife, Yvonne, three nieces: Susan, Patricia, Denise and a nephew, Tony.
Preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Janice Ilene Olsen, a sister Darlene Stukey and a nephew, Jimmy Bruno.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, Oct. 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Price LDS North Stake Center (449 N. 100 E.). A viewing will be Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011 at Fausett Mortuary in Price, from 6 - 7 p.m. and Friday prior to the services from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Cliffview Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Friends may sign the guest book and share memories of Morris at www.fausettmortuary.com.
