Leslie Ruth Riche "Lolipop"

ST. GEORGE/PRICE - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. Leslie Ruth Riche, age 61, passed away Feb. 18, 2013 in St. George at Dixie Regional Medical Center due to health complications, while surrounded by her loving family. Leslie was born in Price on Feb. 15, 1952 to Obie Hayden and Willie Reathel Skidmore Richardson. She was the youngest of the children. Her brother and sisters tagged her with the nickname "Lolipop" when she was a small child. Her nickname stayed with her for the remainder of her precious life, she was proud of her nickname. She was raised in Hiawatha where her journey had begun. She is remembered as being the playful and mischevious one of the family. Lolipop was always up to something to get her siblings attention. She also made many friends while growing up and attending school in Hiawatha. She had a special place in her heart for her friends that became her extended family. In 1961 she moved to Price where she attended and graduated from Carbon High School in 1969. On June 16, 1973 she married the love of her life Ricky Riche in Price. They resided in Price to raise their family. In 1989 she graduated from CEU. Her passion had led her to the medical field. Her dream had turned into reality of working as an Emergency Medical Technician. She was proud to accomplish her goal. She was an EMT until her health started to decline. Leslie had an adventureous side to her. She loved to travel, she wanted to see the world, she was an excellent cook, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing, making silk flower arrangements, oil painting, gardening, raising a mini farm, helping dad to mix and color cement for her stepping stones, bowling, and much more. She loved the outdoors when it came to any activity. She was the soul of our home, the rock of our foundation and the guiding light of our youth. We were blessed to call her mother. Her family brought the most love and joy to fill her heart. We won't say goodbye, we will see you on the other side mom.
