Claron and Vicky Durrant have been residents of Huntington for 33 years. Vicky was born in Price and was raised in Hiawatha, where her father Allen Cox worked in the coal mine. She graduated from Carbon High School, then worked as a secretary in Orem, following her graduation from high school Claron was born in Franklin, Idaho. He graduated from Preston High School. Following graduation he attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a BS degree in Elementary Education. It was while attending BYU that he met and married Vicky Lee Cox. Following graduation and marriage in 1970, they lived in Pocatello, Idaho, where Claron taught elementary school for 10 years. In June 1979 they moved to Huntington where he taught at Huntington Elementary School for 31 years, retiring in May 2010. Claron and Vicky are parents of six children: Alana Olsen, Melinda Durrant, Dennis, Stephen, Errol, and Sharol Sorenson.

EAST CARBON - Roma Kay Anderson Cooper, age 69, passed away Oct. 1, 2011 in East Carbon, Utah. She was born Aug. 9, 1942 to Alfred M. Anderson and Mable Jacobson in Hiawatha, Utah. She married John M. Cooper on June 12, 1971 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is survived by her husband, John; children: Sherrie Montoya of St. George, Utah, and Janile (Jim) Kennedy of Evanston, Wyo.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters: Rene Cupples of East Carbon, Utah, and Oreen Sawyer of Evanston, Wyo. Preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; two sisters; and one son Mark Alfred Cooper. Roma's family will receive friends and family on Friday, Oct. 7, 2011 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Crandall Funeral Home (800 Uinta - Evanston, Wyo.) A graveside service will be held Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Randolph Cemetery (305 West Canyon Street - Randolph, Utah.) Interment will be in the Randolph Cemetery. WELLINGTON-Lola Jean Nelson, age 82, of Wellington, peacefully passed away on May 11, 2013. She was born on Oct. 23, 1930, in Hiawatha, to Ervin and Grace Erickson. A graduate of Carbon High, Lola married Dwane "Pinky" Nelson in March 1948. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple on Oct. 31, 1987. Lola had a way of making everyone feel loved and important. She was an avid reader and pen-pal, who loved card games, bowling, fishing, and camping with family and friends. She was like a mother to many, especially to her beloved nieces and nephews. Lola's life exemplified charity. She was an amazing mother and grandmother. She was the first woman to be elected as President of the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce. Lola also served as Chapter President of both the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the Business /Professional Women of Carbon County. She served on the College of Eastern Utah Foundation, American Legion Auxiliary, Daughters of the American Revolution, and for more than 20 years in the American Red Cross. She was named "Outstanding Young Woman" from the Price chapter of Beta Sigma Phi for her service work. Lola was a banker at Carbon-Emery Bank/Zions Bank, and later became a proud Pink Lady Volunteer. She was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in Relief Society, Sunday School, and Primary teacher. Lola is survived by her son, Chris Nelson (Laurie) of Price; sister Carolyn (Louie) of Seattle; sisters-in-law Renae Hill, of Wellington, and Beth Barnier, of Santa Clara; son-in-law Doug Ehler, of Elmo; grandchildren Greg Nelson (Amanda), of Crestview, Fla.; Jared "Buck" Ehler, of Salt Lake; Will Ehler, of Wellington; Cara Jenkins (Bud), of Castle Dale; Ryan Nelson (Carlie), of Price; eight great-grandchildren; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Lola was preceded in death by her husband Pinky; daughter Julie Ehler; parents; sisters Winona Marx and Enid Baldwin; and brother Wayne Erickson. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Wellington LDS Stake Center (935 East Main St., Wellington). A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price and Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the church. PRICE, Utah-Patricia "Patti" Colosimo O'Neil, age 54, passed away May 19, 2013 in Provo.
She was born March 17, 1959 in Price, Utah to Louie and Patricia Littlejohn Colosimo.
Patti was a lifelong resident of Carbon County who attended Notre Dame Regional School and graduated from Carbon High School in 1977. On October 12, 1980, she married George Patrick O'Neil in Elko, Nevada.
Patti was a member of the Catholic Church. She enjoyed camping, gardening, traveling and going to Wendover. Patti worked many jobs in Carbon County and touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. Whether it was at work or play, Patti could brighten anyone's day regardless of the situation. Her beautiful smile, contagious laugh and gift to gab left many speechless at times.
Patti shared an unwavering love for her family, friends and neighbors. She cherished her family and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her first grandchild in November. Patti will be dearly missed by her family and a community of friends
Survived by her husband, Pat O'Neil, Price; daughter and son, Tiffany (Richard) Williams, Tyson (Carrie) O'Neil, both of Murray; mother, Pat Colosimo, Price; sisters, Sidnee (Robert) Krajnc, Mesquite, NV; Kelli (Allen) Nielsen, Huntington; niece, Mandee Krajnc, Mesquite, NV; aunt, Joni Orphanakis, Salt Lake City; special friend, Sandra Barff, Helper; many cousins, dear friends and her constant companion, "Cubbie".
She was preceded in death by father Louie Colosimo; nephews, Louis and A.J.; and beloved aunt Mary.

Del Bert "Butch" Leamaster

HUNTINGTON - Bert "Butch" Leamaster, age 81, passed away May 15, 2013 at his home in Huntington. Bert was born Aug. 12, 1931 in Hiawatha to Delbert and Mary Marie Ungerman Leamaster. He married Janet Nielson on Nov. 13, 1954 in Huntington. They then moved to Las Vegas, Nev., where they raised their family. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on April 9, 2011. Janet passed away later that same year. Bert moved to Huntington at the age of 16. He graduated from North Emery High School. He and his brother, Fon, enlisted together in the U.S. Navy where they proudly served during the Korean Conflict. Bert was a sheet metal worker by trade, and was a member of the Local 88 Sheet Metal Union retiring in 1998. Following retirement, they moved back home to Huntington. He was a handyman who could fix anything. He enjoyed the outdoors where he loved to hunt, fish, and camp. Bert was a proud member of the American Legion Post #73. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Bert is survived by his children: Joni (Steve) Miller of Mapleton, Kelly (Steve) Wilson, Huntington, Ronni (Tony) Torre, Huntington, and Cassie Brown, Las Vegas, Nev; siblings, Reid "Fon" Leamaster, Huntington and Faye Leamaster, Las Vegas, Nev; 10 grandchildren: Michael Stipanov, Stevoni Doyle, Brandon Skeem, Kris Barker, Kalleen Barker-Young, Bryan Torre, Dominick Torre, Colton Torre, Wade Brown, and Megan Brown-Munford; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janet; sister, Millie; sister-in-law, Ramona; nephews, Vic and Del Leamaster; and nieces, Sherri Brown and Dawn Leamaster. Funeral services were held Monday, May 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Huntington LDS 1st and 5th Ward Chapel There was a viewing Sunday, May 19 at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale and on Monday at the church. Pete George Petrulakis passed away on April 28, 2013. Pete was born in the coal mining town of Hiawatha, Utah, January 3rd 1934. He grew up in Hiawatha with all his friends with whom he had breakfast twice a month until he moved to St. George. He played football for Carbon High and they took the Championship in 1951. The Families moved to Salt Lake City in 1950, when he began his studies at the University of Utah for 4 years. He served in the Army in 1955 in France. Pete worked for 35 years for the Utah Department of Transportation. He retired in May 1994 as the Administrative Manager of Project Development.
He married Ursula Doebbeling Hill on February 14, 1970. They lived in Sandy for 31 years, moved to St. George in 2003. He is survived by his wife Ursula of 43 years, 2 daughters, Leslie and Tia. Granddaughters; Ashley (Jake), Stephanie (Chad), Grandson; Andrew; six Great-grandchildren; Brother, Dean (Judy); Sister-in-law, Anna; 3 Nephews, George (Karna), Nick (Karen), Dean (Laura); 1 Great nephew, 4 Great nieces; Cousins in the USA and Greece, and our long time friend Bonnie D'Grazio.
Preceded in death by his parents George and Elizabeth Petrulakis, his brother Anthony George Petrulakis, his sister Sylvia Petrulakis, brother-in-laws, Dieter Doebbeling (Germany) and Rolf Doebbeling, and mother-in-law, Elfriede Doebbeling.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Creek Orthodox Church, 279 South 300 West. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Trisagio service at 7:00 p.m. Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
